Hopkins Farming Group ...

Our Manawatu-based company was established by John and Elaine Hopkins, who recently celebrated 50 years in New Zealand farming. HFG owns ten dairy farms along with four dry-stock farms, covering a total area of around 4200 ha.

The individual farms are run by farm managers, with a farm overseer.

We are a progressive company interested in adopting the latest technology that is of proven cost-effectiveness. This includes automation in the cowshed and computer-based reporting systems that provide accurate and timely feedback on farm management.

Our Strautmann enterprise ensures that we have access to the latest in developments in agricultural machinery for use in pasture and crop conservation and mixing of specialized feeds for our cows. We also have access to expert farm management and veterinary advice.
